As skills become more specialised and the needs of employers rely increasingly on specific expertise, candidate selection can be a difficult experience for both employer and candidate. An inside track of additional knowledge of one party by the other and vice versa can be hugely beneficial to the process. Social Networking can, if effectively used, be just such the vehicle to facilitate this.
Datamonitor has produced a report on the use of Social Networking in a variety of business activities and has drawn some interesting conclusions on how to harness it and when to be aware of its limitations. As a ìsoftî element, it can complement Online Recruitment to provide a powerful tool for hard pressed employers.
Through his work in the Professional Services Division, Ben Theophanous has gained unique experience into its effective use in a variety of industries. He has accepted our invitation to come and share the benefits and the pitfalls of this fascinating area, and to explore its potential application in recruitment.
We should like to thank Guardian Recruitment Solutions for supporting and hosting this event. The formal part of the evening will finish about 7.30 after which there will be a Social. Please make every effort to attend.
