Since 1999 The Internet Services Providers’ Association (ISPA UK) has been organising the UK Internet Industry Awards to recognise the best if the Internet industry and celebrate best practice and innovation.
For the second year running ISPA asked SiteMorse to assist with independent performance testing of the websites of nominees in the prestigious ëPortalí category. This year ISPA again chose SiteMorse to test the websites of those companies which were shortlisted in order to help judges assess which ones were most deserving of these nationwide awards.
SiteMorse tested for:
Performance, response time and download speed
Presence of errors and portal function
HTML Compliance and build quality
Link management and availability of promoted content
Accessibility Compliance [WAI Priorities 1 and 2]

The Best Portal category was sponsored by mnet and won by Tiscali.
