Remploy has appointed Robert Taylor as General Sales Manager ñ Public Procurement

Remploy has appointed Robert Taylor as General Sales Manager ñ Public Procurement.

In this senior new position, Robert will be responsible for promoting Remployís extensive product offering to public sector organisations, including central government, local, fire and police authorities, defence and health services, and public and private utilities.

Initially, this will centre around Remployís newest business stream, e-cycle, which recycles and disposes of white goods and electronic IT equipment; and Remployís market-leading Frontline range of chemical, biological and nuclear protection suits. In addition, Remploy produces extensive ranges of school furniture, windows and healthcare products that have significant potential to be marketed to public sector organisations.

ìThis is a focal time for public procurement and Remploy has a high quality range of goods and services to promote,î said Robert, who is married and from Northamptonshire. ìI am delighted to be joining such a dynamic organisation and look forward to liaising with government to promote the Remploy range and facilitate the winning of contracts.î

Robert, a Cambridge Phd graduate, brings extensive experience to Remploy including several director-level appointments for high profile public sector and blue chip companies. He was previously Private Secretary to the Army Minister, and has held other high profile civil service roles which make him ideally suited to the role. He reports to Alan Hill, Remployís Director of Product Businesses.
