Select Educationís Stockport office took its chance not just to be famous for fifteen minutes but for a whole hour when it became Magic FMís Workplace of the Day recently. The team at the Select Education office were asked to present one hour of radio on the local station, introducing themselves and the Select Education business.
Katy Maunder, business manager of the Stockport office, commented, ëIt was great fun. The radio station rang us to see if we would like to be their ëWorkplace of the Dayí and came along to take photos and do the recording ñ not quite as nerve-wracking as going live. Weíve had an excellent response from teachers and teaching assistants who heard the programme, and it was a great opportunity for us.í
Although some education recruiters are reporting that business levels are disappointing, attributing this to the Governmentís Workforce Reform, Kathryn Morgan is upbeat about Select Educationís business. She said,í Currently, our business in Stockport is growing so much so that the demand for Select teachers is outstripping the supply. The office has been beating records due to the hard work of its strong team of consultants. The future is very bright and we continue to build the excellent reputation and relationships in the Stockport, Tameside and Trafford area. We are always on the look out for good Primary, Secondary and SEN teachers, teaching assistants and Nursery Nurses to join Stockport Select.í
