Select Education announces new board appointments

Select Education plc, UK based education recruiter has announced two new board appointments

Peter Flannery has been appointed as Select Educationís Managing Director, taking day to day accountability for Select Educationís UK business including responsibility for finance, marketing and ICT. Formerly its Operations Director, Peter Flannery has been with Select Education for five years. He commented on his appointment, ëIím thrilled to be taking over wider responsibilities within Select Education. Change is constant in education, and our business reflects that. The trick for us has always been to anticipate change, so that we can offer the consultative approach that schools value. It is this that has helped us to continue to grow our share of the market, and this will be a key element in developing Select Education through its next phase of development.í

Also joining the Select Education board is Lee Smith, ICT Director. Since joining Select Education in 1998, Lee Smith has been instrumental in ensuring that the businessís ICT systems and processes enable it to sustain its competitive edge. He commented, ëICT is a vital part of Select Educationís business and my participation at this level is aimed at maintaining our strategic approach to ICT and using technology to improve customer service and contain costs.í
