Search Consultancy Ranked 49th in Sunday Times Best Companies to Work for Guide

Search Consultancy is one of the top 50 companies in the UK to work for, according to the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work for table 2008.

Search is ranked 49th in the table, which rates levels of employee satisfaction, and is the second honour bestowed upon the company by Best Companies, following a two-star rating for employee engagement in its 2008 guide.

Searchís two-day and week-long residential training programmes were particularly well-regarded, achieving a positive score of 74 percent putting it at 18th best company in the UK for training.

The Best Companies guide is the most comprehensive survey of workplace opinion in Britain and is compiled from the results of 66 questions employees are asked about their workplace culture, leadership, personal wellbeing, career development, pay and benefits, feelings towards colleagues, managers, and employer as a whole, and employerís community activities.

In January, Search was awarded two-star status in the Best Companies accreditation guide ñ a rare achievement for a new entrant.

Best Companies is a firm which aims to encourage development of a better understanding between staff and employers. It established the accreditation and best companies to work for guide six years ago to measure levels of workplace engagement based on feedback from more than 400,000 employees in thousands of organisations.

Companies can achieve up to three stars and a table of the top 100 firms is published on an annual basis in the Sunday Times.
