School saves thousand of s by using online recruitment

.

St Cyres Secondary School in Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan, is one of the many schools that has opted for online recruitment. Previously the school relied heavily on national and local press advertising to recruit staff. But the escalating costs of press advertising and the expense and administration associated with collating and sending out dozens of application packs led the school to seek a more efficient and effective recruitment process.

The school had heard of Eteachís close working relationship with the Association of Secondary and College Leaders (ASCL) and chose to advertise on Eteach for a single annual fee for an unlimited number of vacancies. As soon as the new Eteach system was implemented adverts appeared online instantly rather than being held up by print deadlines and weekly publishing schedules.

St Cyres found that job advertisements on Eteach.com attracted strong fields of good quality applicants at a fraction of the price of traditional newspaper advertising.

Brian Lightman, Head teacher, St Cyres commented, ëWe have saved thousands of pounds and several hours of administration time on each vacancy by using Eteach.í
