s1jobs extends lead in Scotland

Recruitment site leaves rivals trailing

The results of the National Online Recruitment Audience Survey (Winter 2007) are published today and show s1jobs to have considerably extended its lead in Scotland. The site now attracts over 200,000 more Scottish users than its nearest rival.

According to NORAS s1jobs attracts 316,000 Scottish-based job seekers per month. The next best performing site, Monster, attracts 114,000 Scottish users per month. ScotCareers attracts 110,000 Scottish users, while Fish4Jobs attracts 72,000.

Mark Smith, s1 Managing Director said: ìWeíre obviously delighted with the results ñ to be so far ahead of our competitors yet again really is remarkable. This confirms what our clients already know, that if youíre recruiting in Scotland then no other media comes even close to matching the effectiveness of s1jobs.

ìIn the past six months weíve welcomed the likes of BP, Shell and T-Mobile onto the site, proof that our local strength is recognised by global operators.

ìDespite all that, we canít be complacent. We have to keep on delivering the goods for our clients and weíll continue to invest heavily, in technology and in the brand, to ensure that happens.î

The NORAS survey is the biggest of its kind in the UK, with more than 37,000 users of online recruitment sites being questioned about their job seeking habits during September and October 2006. Each participating siteís audience figures are fully audited by ABC Electronic to ensure accuracy and consistency.
