RRC Training, has joined the league of Doctor Who and Ricky Gervase by becoming a podcaster. The monthly podcasts will take the form of amusing conversations between RRC Trainingís health and safety experts and a fictional disgruntled businessman played by Jon Glover, well-known as Grayson in the Harry Enfield Cholmondley-Warner TV sketches.
The short, easily-digestible podcasts, focusing on a range of topical health and safety issues such as fire and CDM, are intended to be both entertaining and informative and to be of value and interest to HSE professionals employed across all sectors, plus those in training or intending to take up training.
They are also designed to encourage return visitors to RRC Trainingís newly-designed and revamped website, online from 1st February.
Gary Fallaize, MD of RRC Training, explains the decision to start podcasting.
ëRRC Training has a reputation for pioneering the use of new technology for training ñ it was one of the first training companies to offer interactive distance learning, so we were keen to lead the way with business podcasting too, and to take full advantage of any new media that is beneficial to our clients and to health and safety professionals in general. We are also always on the look out for new ways to spread the word about what we do and reach new audiences.
ëAmongst our tutors we are fortunate to count some of the most inspirational and knowledgeable trainers in health and safety, so it makes complete sense to give them an online platform to demonstrate and share their wealth of experience. Podcasts also sit very well with our ethos of flexibliliy, which is the key to all our training programmes. With our distance learning and e-learning courses, busy people can study at a time that suits them, and with podcasts they can listen at leisure.í
The podcasts are of the same high standard people have come to expect of all RRC Trainingís materials and the tone of each podcast, while conveying facts and figures, help and guidance, will be light and humorous to encourage down-loaders to come back for more and send them on to friends and colleagues.
