Revenue breakthrough success

The Inland Revenue is pleased to announce their recent success in the national training awards, held in London, collecting an award for their personal development programme, Breakthrough.

By using this programme, the Revenue is promoting diversity among itsí workforce. It is breaking down the barriers that have traditionally prevented under-represented groups (people with disabilities, people from ethnic minority backgrounds and women) reaching more senior levels in the organisation.

Human Resources Advisor, Mary Callaghan, said, ìcareer tracking results from participants show significantly better promotion rates compared with their matched peers. Some have achieved more than one promotion since their involvement with the Breakthrough programme and many attribute their success directly to their participationî.
