Relaunched Jobs Website Offers Live Chat Function

Visitors to job search website bluecollar.com.au will be able to chat with recruitment consultants live online following a comprehensive relaunch of the site

Visitors to job search website bluecollar.com.au will be able to chat with recruitment consultants live online following a comprehensive relaunch of the site.

Australiaís only niche jobs board specialising in the blue-collar market has undergone a $120,000 makeover, including a software and functionality upgrade that will further enhance its position in the recruitment market.

bluecollar.com.au Managing Director Tudor Marsden-Huggins said the live chat function would allow jobseekers to communicate with recruitment consultants while they searched the site.

ìPeople often have queries or want advice while searching sites such as ours and this function will allow them to instantly communicate with one of our experienced recruitment consultants by using a messenger-style interface,î he said.

ìWe are constantly looking for ways to improve customer service at bluecollar.com.au and our new live chat feature is another excellent example of that.î

bluecollar.com.au, which has earned a reputation as one of Australiaís number one niche recruitment sites since launching several years ago, currently attracts more than 30,000 unique visitors each month to search 300 advertised jobs.

ìThis means we are attracting 100 jobseekers per advertisement, which is considerably more than more high-profile recruitment sites,î Mr Marsden-Huggins said.

ìSome websites boast of having 2,000,000 visitors each month but with 200,000 jobs advertised, they are only attracting 10 people per ad.

ìbluecollar.com.au may attract a smaller pool of candidates but we can guarantee you that they are specific to your industry, not like job sites that offer clients hundreds of resumes for a position but half of them are irrelevant.

ìWe are more than happy to attract less numbers of candidates because inevitably they are better quality, industry-specific candidates.î

Mr Tudor-Huggins said he expected the relaunch to attract further advertisers to the website.

ìWith a new management team in place during the past year, bluecollar.com.au is re-established, strong and growing,î he said.

ìIt has a bright future as a niche jobs board and now is a great time to get on board as an advertiser because our visitors-to-jobs ratio is still excellent.

ìIf a business is searching for quality blue-collar workers, they would be crazy not to advertise in an industry-specific space such as ours.î
