reed.co.uk surpassed 300,000 live vacancies, the first UK job site to achieve this mark. This further cements reed.co.ukís position at the head of the online recruitment industry, with around three times the number of jobs of its major competitors.

The growth in job numbers has been spread across all of the 36 industry sectors covered by reed.co.uk. Significantly, growth has occurred in industries where online recruitment has not always been a preferred option. Sectors such as Construction and Property and Education have seen some of the highest levels of growth.

Achieving this landmark figure is obviously a great boost for reed.co.uk but itís the source of the growth that is the most interesting and satisfying aspect. While sectors such as Admin and Secretarial and Accountancy continue to be among the largest sectors on the site we have seen exciting levels of growth in all of our specialist areas.

Overall, job numbers have grown by over 20% in the last year, with some specialisms growing by as much as 71%.
