Steve Bailey, director of Reed Screening (Reedís pre-employment screening division) has announced the firmís membership of NAPBS (National Association of Professional Background Screeners) Europe, the national screening body recently established as the European arm of the association founded in the US in 2003.
Steve Bailey said: ìI have been involved in this sector from its onset, and Iím pleased to see the market maturing and the adoption of self-regulatory group with a wide church of professional screening members. We owe a lot to the US where the NAPBS has established itself as the voice of the industry in the United States and is reaching out across the world to form a global screening alliance to expand its efforts.î
Mr Bailey, who has been appointed co-chair of NAPBS, added: ìAs well as screening Reed candidates we are a stand-alone business that services many external clients even if theyíre not using Reed Recruitment. As well as permanent appointments we can provide screening prior to temporary placements, with special reference checking being offered for temporary workers placed in banks and financial organisations.î
