Recruitment stars can shine brightly in REC awards

The crme of professional recruiters is once again poised to compete for the nationís top accolade as the top UK recruiter in the Recruitment and Employment Confederationís Professional Individual Membership Recruitment Awards.

Being held in association with Recruitment Consultant and Recruitment International, the awards once again will recognise the pinnacle of success, quality and ethics which have been attained by Individual Members of the REC.

Following the success of the inaugural Individual Membership Recruitment Awards last year, the REC is again asking for nominations in the eight different categories which are open to recruitment consultants, executives, managers and directors.

HR professionals are invited to nominate a recruitment consultant who they think deserves the recognition an award would bring for their hard work and dedication to their career. The only stipulation is that entrants and nominees must be Individual Members of the REC at AREC, MREC or FREC levels.

A trip to Monte Carlo for two awaits the overall winner chosen from one of the winners of the eight categories by a panel of distinguished judges including the RECís Chief Executive Kevin Green; Mick James, editor of the RECís magazine, Recruitment Matters; Recruitment Consultantís editor Phil McMullan and David Head, Recruitment Internationalís publisher.

Closing date for entries is October 10 2008 with the winners being announced on November 6.

Categories for the awards consist of best newcomer; business manager, business leader, best achievement from training, special achievement, outstanding contribution, temporary consultant and permanent consultant.
