Recruitment boss on a cycling mission to raise 30,000 for childrens charity

Gary Redman, Group Managing Director of NOW Recruitment, is aiming to raise in excess of 30,000 by cycling over 400-miles from Edinburgh Castle to Birmingham for the childrenís charity Dream Come True.

Gary and team mate Sean Newman from Newman Estate Agents have commenced training for the intense 5-day cycle ride which will take place from Monday 2nd ñ Friday 6th May.

The pair will cycle from Edinburgh Castle to Birmingham, a trip which covers a distance of over 400 miles. Intensive training has started and, at present, Gary and Sean are boosting their stamina with an intensive training programme which sees them covering 45 miles in one stint plus stamina building gym sessions a few times a week. The pair are urging clients, colleagues and friends to sponsor sections of the trip and in total are aiming to raise over 30,000 for the childrenís charity, Dreams Come True.

ìAs the cycle ride is only three months away we have really had to step up our training,î says Gary. ìItís important for companies such as NOW Recruitment to give something back to those causes that need help. Being a family man myself I have a particular affiliation with the childrenís charity ëDreams Come Trueí. This charity helps terminally ill and sick children to fulfil their most cherished dreams, whether it be to meet a celebrity, swim with dolphins or to purchase special equipment to aid communication or mobility. Both Sean and I are completely focused on this ride and are determined to raise as much money as we possibly can to help this charity.î

The charity bike ride will be launched from NOW Recruitmentís offices in Edinburgh on the 2nd May. The pair will travel from:-

Day 1 - Edinburgh Castle ñ Alnwick (94 miles)
Day 2 - Alnwick ñ Newcastle ñ Scotch Corner (100 miles)
Day 3 - Scotch Corner ñ Huddesfield (75 miles)
Day 4 - Huddesfield ñ Nottingham (72 miles)
Day 5 - Nottingham ñ Birmingham (62 miles)

ìWe are looking for all of the sponsorship that we can get in order to raise as much money for charity as we possibly can,î says Gary. ìCompanies can advertise on our shirts and our tour bus and weíll be trying to stimulate donations and generate as much awareness of this bike ride as we can.
