A new jobs board serving the UKís magazine and business media sector will be launched in April.
PPAJobs.co.uk will feature job vacancies across editorial, production, digital, sales and management.
The website is a joint venture between the PPA, the association of UK magazine publishers and business media providers, and global media company, Haymarket Media Group. Haymarket already publishes popular job boards such as http://jobs.brandrepublic.com, http://revolutionjobs.co.uk and http://www.thirdsectorjobs.co.uk.
ìWe are delighted to be working with the PPA on the launch of their first jobs board,î says Rufus Olins, Managing Director, Haymarket Brand Media.
Olins adds: ìOur web platform already covers 16 jobs markets and working with one of the UKís foremost trade bodies will help us deliver the right media candidates for advertisers.î
The website will provide leading edge functionality for both job seekers and recruiters. Jobs by email, RSS feeds, CV storage and saved applications will be available for visitors to PPAJobs.co.uk. Employers can take advantage of an advanced Recruiter Zone allowing them full control of their vacancies and 24-hour credit card job posting.
Loraine Davies, director of the Periodicals Training Council (PTC) who work with PPA, says: The project sits well with PTCís remit to promote careers and in early 2007 the PTC Board approved a proposal that the executive should consider launching a jobs board for the industry. PPA received two proposals from member companies and after referring its recommendation to the Audit Committee for approval, Haymarket Media Group was chosen as the appropriate partner.
Though the website will be available to any organisation wishing to advertise vacancies, PPA members will be eligible for a discount on bookings.
