Penna Career Transition MD to chair association of career firms

Beverley White, Managing Director of Penna Career Transition has been appointed as Chair of the UK arm of the Association of Career Firms (ACF), which represents the interests of outplacement companies and upholds standards for the industry.

The appointment will support the work of Pennaís Career Transition business which guides organisations and individuals through redundancy. Penna works to ensure that the right support is received during this time to help meet the desired outcomes of all involved.

Beverley commented, ìI am delighted to have been asked to take the Chair position in an organisation that is core to the work that Penna does. The role of the ACF is imperative in ensuring that both employers and employees receive the best outplacement services from reputable organisations.

ìEmployers have a responsibility to look after their staff and this also applies during the process of their departure. The offer of support should preferably extend to those staff who remain, to help them through what can be a very unsettling time.î

She continues, ìWhilst all companies go through periods of transition, it is essential that this is managed with as little disruption as possible and for the benefit of all those involved. The process should also be managed in a way that enhances rather than detracts from the employer brandî.

Beverley White joined Penna in 2002. Her earlier career included 7 years as CIO of NtL. She has accountability for leading the continuous design, development and delivery of Pennaís Career Transition services. In addition, Beverley was accountable for leading Pennaís achievement of being placed 28th in the Times 100 Best Companies to work for last year.
