PageUp People is pleased to announce that Karen Cariss, CEO, has recently been named a finalist in the Ernst and Young 2008 Entrepreneur of the Year

PageUp People is pleased to announce that Karen Cariss, CEO, has recently been named a finalist in the Ernst and Young 2008 Entrepreneur of the Year.

Having been nominated in the Young Entrepreneur category, Karen Cariss, 34, joins 83 other finalists from across Australia who will compete for the ultimate prize of being named 2008 Entrepreneur of the Year.

Karen has been a significant driving force behind the success of PageUp People since co-founding the company straight out of university in 1997.

With growth patterns that have placed PageUp People in the BRW Fast 100 for three consecutive years and a client base that many would envy, Karen Cariss remains modest about the award nomination.

ìGrowing the company over the last ten years from having several staff to now being globally competitive has taken great effort whilst having been extremely rewarding, both personally and professionally. The company momentum is just kicking into full swing and Iím eager to watch the next few years unfold.î

Karen is known for her determination and ambition. Last year alone saw Karen execute several radical strategies; the acquisition of leading talent management consultancy, TalentEdge, signing of a partnership agreement in China and the opening of a London office.

Karen will join 18 fellow finalists representing the southern region (Victoria and Tasmania) at the regional awards ceremony on 31st July 2008 in Melbourne where the names of those progressing to the national competition will be announced.
