Online recruitment players announce strategic alliance

s1jobs and Broadbean have announced a strategic alliance deal which is the first of its kind in the UK recruitment industry.

The tie-up brings together the UK-based multi-site job posting company and Scottish recruitment site in an exclusive arrangement, creating a fully integrated recruitment solution.

Mark Smith, Managing Director of s1, said: ìWeíve decided to do this because itís in the best interests of our customers. Weíve had a very mixed experience of multi-site job posting companies and Broadbean is the only company that we know has got it right. The problem is too many of these companies just dump jobs without checking what theyíre doing and then the customer blames the jobs board when applications go down. Weíre not prepared to put up with that any more so the only multi-site job posting company that we will deal with from now is Broadbean.î

Broadbean will in turn promote s1jobs to its English based recruitment agency customers who may be unfamiliar with the depth and breadth of the Scottish employment market and the propensity of Scots to move long distances for work.

Smith continued: ìThis deal makes sense because of the unique marketing-leading position that both s1jobs and Broadbean enjoy within their respective markets. We aim to offer clients complete end-to-end recruitment solutions and to that end we look to work with complementary best-of breed partners.î

According to the National Online Recruitment Audience Survey s1jobs reaches almost three times more Scottish job seekers than any other recruitment site.
