Online IT recruitment spend continues strong growth according to latest fish4jobs research

During a March 2006 survey of their IT client base, fish4jobs found that 57% of companies believe that more money is being spent on recruiting IT personnel online today, than in 2005. Only 29% of companies questioned thought this spend had remained the same since last year. A mere 14% thought that there was a slight decrease in the trend.

Further research into the IT recruitment sector by fish4jobs found 78% of IT Directors stating they lack HR expertise, and that sourcing the right candidate is a task to be dreaded.

Furthermore, monitoring by fish4jobs on searches for IT jobs on their website reveals that there were 113,081 in the South-East, with those in the North-West making 100,634 searches and those in the East Midlands making 28,294 searches.

fish4jobs has found that the top ten IT related searches on its website by job role, include: technical support, user acceptance tester, data analyst, project management, consultancy, helpdesk, network management, web development, quality assurance management and system analysis.
