In September, CharityJOB hit the one million mark for the number of hits on its specialist not-for-profit sector recruitment site. Launched in February 2000, it has fast become one of the most popular website for charity and not for profit jobs in the UK.

CharityJOB, UKís largest dedicated site for jobs in the charity and not for profit sectors, offers thousands of positions nationally as well as internationally. The site still remains the most efficient and cost effective means of advertising in the sector. CharityJOB is dedicated to connecting job seekers to charity employers.

Increasingly job seekers are looking at online sources rather than traditional means and that is indicative of the number of job seekers that CharityJOB boasts, at just over 61,000.

Raya Wexler, Director of CharityJOB, said: ìWe have made working for charities accessible for job seekers and inexpensive for charities to fill their vacancies. Why should applicants have to wait for weekly classifieds, trawling through pages of irrelevant jobs, when they can access the internet round the clock, searching for specific vacancies? This is the sign of the times.î
