NursingNet Ltd have strengthened their lead in the online health sector jobs market with the purchase of the nhsjobs.com domain

Derbyshire based NursingNet Ltd have strengthened their lead in the online health sector jobs market with the purchase of the nhsjobs.com domain. The domain has been in use since 1999 and its established traffic will be added to NursingNetís network of leading independent health sector sites, which include healthjobsuk.com and nursingnetuk.com.

NursingNet Director, Simon Headington, said ìwith a tightening of budgets across the health sector, and in particular in the NHS, we are expecting an upturn in online advertising during the coming year as more employers recognise the value of online recruitment as a key part of their overall marketing mixî.

In addition to their main sites which have been running since July 2000, NursingNet manage the recruitment sections of most of the main London NHS Trust web-sites, including Guys and St Thomas (www.gstt.nhs.uk/jobs), Kingís (www.kings.nhs.uk/careers), UCLH (www.uclh.nhs.uk) and Barts and the London www.bartsandthelondon.nhs.uk.

Simon Headington explained that ìthese are amongst a number of major NHS Trusts we are working with who, with their advertising agencies, are building on the value of their own well established ëbrand namesí. We expect that this trend towards advertising on a mixture of national niche boards and their own major in-house sites will continue, particularly with the governmentís move to foundation hospitals and ëchoose & bookí, which will further encourage the development and strengthening of their own brands.î
