Novotus survey: Employers report growth, hiring needs

A recent Novotus poll shows that across the country despite a cooling economy, hiring is hotter than ever

A recent Novotus poll shows that across the country despite a cooling economy, hiring is hotter than ever.

From Texas to Tennessee, attendees of two nationally-attended HR conferences earlier this year agreed: Finding enough qualified employees is an uphill battle. Novotus surveyed hiring managers at the Houston Gulf Coast Symposium and the SHRM 2008 Staffing Management Conference and Exposition in Nashville.

More than a third of hiring managers polled in both Houston and Nashville anticipated hiring increases in the near future and said that finding talent has become more difficult. Nearly one-third of all polled are either already using or are considering using a recruitment process outsourcing provider.

The most difficult positions to fill were in engineering and sales. Houston conference-goers have a hard time finding managers, while those at the Nashville say their struggle is in the technology and medical sectors.

We conduct these surveys so we can see pain points and offer relevant services, said Mike Mayeux, CEO of Novotus. Right now, we're seeing employers who are growing and still very much in need of qualified employees. We have solutions to meet their needs.

Recruitment Process Outsourcing companies like Novotus and Stringer Executive Search are designed to take the pressure off the hiring manager in finding top talent.

It is our goal to be a company's first choice in recruitment process outsourcing, said Mayeux. We stand at the forefront of the recruiting and staffing industry with solutions and technologies that are unsurpassed by competitors and companies alike.
