NORAS Winter 2004 survey confirms CWJobs has largest IT jobseeker audience

.

Recent independent research into the online recruitment market has found that CWJobs has the largest audience of IT
jobseekers compared to any other site included in the survey. According to the National Online Recruitment Audience Survey (NORAS) Winter 2004, CWJobsí audience is twice as big as that of its nearest rival. In addition, the jobs board has an ABC E audited unique user figure of 286,223, which makes it one of the biggest IT job boards in the UK

CWJobsí audience topped the survey in several key areas including highest number working for an IT company (41%), highest number whoíve applied for a job on the internet (87%) and joint highest number whoíve got a job using the internet (54%).

Itís great to have an independent tool that measures like for like across a number of sites - and even better that CWJobs comes out on top for every significant measure of this IT jobseeker audience, says John Salt, operations director for CWJobs. What is important to us now is to continue to grow and cement our position as the first choice IT job board for both IT recruiters and IT jobseekers in the UK.

NORAS is an annual survey that provides recruitment advertisers with comparable information on the users of job boards so they can make informed advertising decisions and get a more targeted response to online recruitment advertisements. The results of NORAS Winter 2004 are compiled from questionnaires completed by 12,500 online job seekers among 17 of the UKís leading online recruitment sites. More and more online recruitment sites are recognising the need to provide their clients with transparent and objective data that gives them a better
understanding of their siteís strengths and the size and profile of its audience, commented Tim Elkington, co-founder of NORAS. CWJobsí participation in the NORAS survey demonstrates that it is committed to raising standards within the online recruitment industry and supports the provision of independent data to facilitate advertising decisions.
