The busy lives of professionals are obviously not slowing down, with almost 50% of workers missing their lunch break at least twice a week. The recent survey by GW Professional, which comprises the FSS and Crone Corkill recruitment brands, has revealed that only 35% of respondents take their full hourís lunch break every day. Another 15% miss out on their break four times a week.
ìThis is evidence that not only are we working longer hours, we are also forfeiting the little time we have free to stop and relaxî says Paul Marsh, HR Director at GW Professional. ìAlthough once in a while sacrifices have to be made, many people are missing their lunch break several times a week. However, those employers who focus on employee wellbeing issues such as insisting on a lunch break, will not only help retain talent but also maximise productivity.î
