New Managing Director at Change Recruitment Group

Change Recruitment Group, one of Scotland's largest independent specialist recruitment solutions providers, has appointed Tom Waddell to the Board and as divisional managing director of The Resource Group.

One of four divisions within Change, it specialises in temporary, permanent and contract recruitment within secretarial and administration, call and contact centres, distribution and logistics.

He will be responsible for the continued expansion of The Resource Group in Edinburgh and Glasgow by increasing headcount, growing market share and identifying other sectors that may fit the division's business model. In addition to managing the Resource Group, his significant experience of temporary recruitment will add value to the company as a whole.

Waddell joins Change from Reed Employment where he held a number of senior positions, most recently UK operations director where he was responsible for 31 office locations and covered three divisions - hospitality, industrial and social care. Prior to this, he held senior management positions at companies including ASA International and Brook Street Bureau plc.

Commenting on his appointment, Suzanne Ramsay, chief executive of Change Recruitment Group said: Tom has excellent experience of temporary recruitment, is well regarded in the Scottish recruitment market and has a proven record in strategically growing business, often from a start up situation. Tom can also add to the dynamics of the board with his energy and passion for this industry built up over 20 years.

With a blue chip client list that includes Standard Life, Royal Bank of Scotland, Morgan Stanley, Scottish Widows, PricewaterhouseCoopers, SKY and Ernst & Young, Change Recruitment Group underwent a successful management buyout in December 2006, led by Suzanne Ramsay and backed by private equity bank, NBGI.

With offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow, the company has over 140 consultants working across its four separate divisions and 10 different industry sectors including financial services, legal, accountancy and call centres. The company offers international recruitment and project management of high volume recruitment campaigns (RPO) and the provision of outsourced recruitment services.
