Absolute Recruitment UK Ltd has appointed Dr Gareth Osborne, former Chief Executive of the recruitment industryís trade body

Absolute Recruitment UK Ltd has appointed Dr Gareth Osborne, former Chief Executive of the recruitment industryís trade body, the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), to its Board as a Non-Executive Director.

Since its establishment in February 2003, the Crewe-based company has grown exponentially, and has become an invaluable asset to itís clients across the North West due mainly to itís ethical treatment of candidates and itís new approach to recruitment service provision. Garethís appointment is intended to further these services and aid the companyís goal to become the regionís leading supplier of temporary and permanent labour.

Dr Osborne is known throughout the recruitment industry for his tireless efforts to raise the profile of the industry and his passion for the importance of a flexible labour market in the UK. His revamp of the trade body included - amongst many other initiatives - the introduction of the new Code of Professional Practice, which demands high standards from Member agencies and ensures that candidates applying to a recruitment agency for work are treated fairly, and provided with the best possible assistance in finding suitable work.
