New chair of trustees announced for The Vodafone UK Foundation

The Vodafone UK Foundation has announced the appointment of Kyle Whitehill as Chair of Trustees. Kyle is Director of the Enterprise Business Unit at Vodafone and a member of the UK Board.

Since becoming a trustee 18 months ago Kyle has taken a very active role. He has a strong interest in the issues affecting young people helped by substantial work with charities in the field and having three teenage children of his own.

ìWith the recent selection of charities for The Vodafone UK Foundationís 5m flagship programme it has been an important time for Kyle to take up the role of Chair of Trustees.î Sarah Shillito, Head of The Vodafone UK Foundation commented, ìHis understanding of the issues young people face combined with his sharp mind will help The Vodafone UK Foundation stay progressive and challenging in what we fund.î

At Vodafone Kyle is the founder and sponsor of Take a Chance, a West Berkshire programme motivating teenagers to be high achievers and develop their enterprise skills. He also sponsors the Vodafone UK Student Leadership programme with the Scottish Institute for Enterprise. Kyle is Chairman of the Youthnet Development Board and a Governor at St Bartholomewís School.
