New alldayPA Digital Detox Promises Freedom From Digital Dependency & Enhanced Work/Life Balance

The Digital Detox, a new service from, alldayPA, the UK’s most trusted supplier of call answering services, promises to offer employers a new type of employee benefit

The Digital Detox, a new service from, alldayPA, the UK’s most trusted supplier of call answering services, promises to offer employers a new type of employee benefit.

Following the recent announcement by Richard Branson that he will allow his employees to choose their own holiday allocation, annual leave is back in the spotlight as a major incentive and benefit for staff.

Businesses are looking at new and innovative ways to improve their employment packages and the Digital Detox will enable companies of any size, from corporates to sole traders, to allow employees to take holidays free from the interruptions of business phone calls.

“The Digital Detox does exactly what the name implies. In recent years, we’ve seen mobile devices transformed from useful business tools which, if used effectively, helped users become more productive, into a time-sapping source of busy-work.  Digital Detox is the answer.  It will break the cycle of dependency, allowing even the busiest person to leave the mobile behind and focus on the task at hand or even enjoy a restful, communication-free break without worrying about missed calls or messages,” said Sue Ratcliffe, spokesperson at alldayPA.

Digital Detox can be implemented by HR departments in the growing number of companies committed to supporting a healthier and, ultimately more productive, work-life balance.  With Digital Detox, businesses can give employees a genuine break from invasive technology at times when attention needs to be focused elsewhere – e.g. when engaged on a crucial project – or on holiday.  To simplify matters and further improve efficiency, HR departments can integrate it into the company’s holiday booking system.

Small business owners and sole traders find it hard to step from work and take some all-important time off to relax.  Digital Detox provides the personalised and reliable support they need to feel confident leaving the phone at home without fear of messages or calls going unanswered.

How It Works

The Digital Detox service is available at 24 hours’ notice. The service is designed to be tailored to ensure calls and messages are handled to the company or employee’s exact specification.  For example, the service user can stipulate that urgent calls or messages are relayed to a designated contact at the company. Similarly, the user can ask for all non-urgent messages to be provided in a single report on their return to work.

The Digital Detox service is offered as a stand-alone package or to supplement to other alldayPA services.  The service comes in a variety of tailored package options which will be typically be in operation for periods ranging from 7, 14 and 30 days.

7 Day Digital Detox - £3 a day - 30 calls in total included (+75p per call thereafter)
14 Day Digital Detox - £2.50 a day - 55 calls in total included (+70p per call thereafter)
30 Day Digital Detox - £2 a day - 90 calls in total included (+68p per call thereafter)
