Beyond.com Reports More than 93 percent of Business Professionals Plan To Change Their Career Path in 2007

Strong Interest Identified in Healthcare and Medical, IT and Accounting and Finance

Beyond.com, Inc., the largest niche career network for business professionals, polled members across its network of more than 11,000 sites to identify career trends for 2007.

More than 4,300 visitors responded to their latest poll that asked, ìDo you plan on changing your career path in 2007?î An overwhelming 93 percent said that they plan to make a career change this year, whether it is within their current industry or choose a different path completely. Fewer than 7 percent projected that they would remain in their current job.

Industries of interest included: Healthcare and Medical, Information Technology, and Accounting and Finance. Of those professionals who indicated their desire to change industries, approximately 10 percent will be making the leap into Healthcare and Medical and an additional 10 percent will be moving into IT, while about 6 percent will be entering the Accounting and Finance field. The remainder was scattered across other industries.

According to the Beyond.com fourth quarter 2006 Career Trends Analysis Report; these three industries are amongst the top four industries for online jobs posted to the Beyond.com Network.
