Beyond.com Inc. Reports More Than 84 percent of Professionals Would Continue Working if They Won the Lottery

Beyond.com, Inc., the largest niche career network for business professionals, asked members across its network of more than 11,000 sites if they would continue to work if they won the lottery.

More than 2,800 users responded to the survey that asked, ìIf you won the lottery, what would you do?î Over 84 percent said that they would remain in the workforce in some capacity, whether they would stay at their current job, work part time, or start their own businesses. Surprisingly, more than 41 percent of these hypothetical lottery winners said they would start their own businesses despite the risks involved.

ìIn todayís economy, it is not surprising that so many people would continue to stay actively employedî said Rich Milgram, CEO of Beyond.com, Inc. ìThe Internet not only allows for easy access to comprehensive resources to assist in starting your own business, but also offers another business channel for entrepreneurs to consider. Starting a business has never been easier.î

For entrepreneurs, there are many options to consider such as opening a franchise, starting an internet business or a work-from-home opportunity that provides for maximum flexibility.
