Monster Revamps Jobseeker Site

Monster UK gives site new makeover for quick and easy access to relevant jobs

Monster UK has re-designed its Job Seeker Site with an improved look and feel, providing faster access to jobs and career advice. In response to the growing popularity of online recruitment, the My Monster section has been given a new layout, enhancing usability and making it more personalised. Job seekers are now able to view recommended jobs, use ìQuick Applyî, manage applications, perform a quick search and tailor their job search agents. Employers benefit through even more targeted access to candidates and increased job viewings through the new recommended jobs facility and featured employer banners on the my Monster section.

Online job seeking has grown by 76 per cent in the last two years alone and is now used by over 11.1 million people in the UK. This accounts for 30 per cent of the working population. ìOnline recruitment has gained increasing credibility and is more popular than ever,î explains Alan Townsend, COO for Monster UK & Ireland. ìMonster is about making it easier to find your dream job, and the new changes to the website take the whole experience to the next level.î

For job hunters, the improved Job Seeker Site streamlines the CV building process. Other features include a ìsave to fileî functionality that enables job seekers to save the job ad they are interested in and apply for it at their convenience. In addition, each time a seeker visits the My Monster page, an updated, real-time list of ìRecommended Jobsî is presented. An ìApplied Toî tool provides job seekers with a list of additional jobs, based on what other candidates who registered for the same role also applied for. With ìQuick Applyî jobseekers can send a CV and a covering letter instantly in one click.

My Monster users will find that access to account information has been improved, making it easier to view and edit personal information such as CVs, search agents and newsletters.

For employers looking for suitable candidates, the siteís new design and layout enhances the quality of data capture, enabling more targeted email communication to job seekers. This also improves the ability to receive qualified candidates from job postings, while increasing the availability of searchable CVs. Featured opportunities and recommended jobs also gives companies the chance to get their jobs more frequently in front of potential candidates.
