Monster forms strategic marketing relationship with Internet broadcasting systems to target local job seekers and employers

Monster, the global online careers property and flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, Inc. announced a strategic marketing agreement with Internet Broadcasting Systems (IBS), the largest online local television network. The agreement further demonstrates Monster’s resolve to serve job seekers and employers in their local communities and includes an online presence on 57 local news affiliates nationwide in 52 markets, as well as television commercials in major markets nationwide.

Under the terms of the agreement, Monster will power the career content pages for the education, technology, business, and family sections of IBS websites. Each site will be specially targeted to the local jobseeker and will include relevant employment listings, career enhancement tools and advice from Monster experts regarding a range of topics, such as resume writing tips and interview skills. Starting in January, IBS will promote the career pages through local television promotional spots. The co-branded television spots will include Monster messaging demonstrating the local benefits of Monster’s offerings in each market. IBS will also promote the career content pages on the IBS websites through online advertisements.

Monster is committed to localizing the job search, and this agreement with IBS - the web’s #1 local news provider - enables us to reach employers and job seekers within their own communities through targeted, market-based career resources, said Brad Baker, Chief Product and Marketing Officer, Monster. The beginning of a new year is the perfect time for job seekers to find employment and for companies across the nation to hire new workers. Through IBS, Monster will be able to build strong relationships on the local level with both employers and job seekers.

We are excited to begin this new relationship with Monster, which will help our site visitors effectively manage their careers and find satisfying work within their communities, said Clayton Rose, Vice President - Business Development, IBS. It is important to IBS that we provide our viewers with the highest quality career services - and our new agreement with Monster, the leading global online career site, enables us to do just that.
