Top Twenty ranking in the Fast Track 100 league table of Britainís fastest growing private companies.
A commitment to supplying small and start-up businesses with flexible and affordable office space has seen MLS Business Centres grow at a remarkable rate during the past three years and gain a Top Twenty ranking in the Fast Track 100 league table of Britainís fastest growing private companies.
Battling through tough market conditions to more than double its annual sales, MLS has seen sales of serviced office space rise by 139% a year from 841,000 in 2000 to 11.4 million in 2003. This has helped the company grow from just 650 office workstations to more than 8,300 workstations in 42 nationwide locations currently.
The company was founded Paul Williams in 1997 when he started renting out surplus office space at his adverting company. MLS now provides fully serviced office space to more than 800 businesses including Network Rail, Warner Bros and Virgin all rent offices.
ìOne of the main reasons we have been so successful is that we provide our customers with a real home from home,î comments MLSí chief executive, Paul Williams. ìOur philosophy is that you should feel as comfortable in your office as you are in your home. So while each office is decorated and furnished to a high standard we are unique in the industry in allowing customers to redecorate, charge the furniture and even change the carpet if they want too.
ìOur success is also reflected in the length of time that clients stay at our centres. The average length of stay is 17 months, which is 50% longer than the industry norm.
ìWhile our growth rate has so far been phenomenal we wonít be resting on our laurels as we plan to have opened more than 100 news centres in the UK by 2010.î
