MindSolve releases version 5.0 of MVP suite

New software release facilitates strategic organizational alignment: anywhere, anytime, anyone

MindSolve Technologies today announced the latest release of MindSolve Visual Performance (MVP), its flagship employee performance management software suite.

Key features of MVP Version 5.0 include:
ï Career and Succession Planning, enabling employees to create and manage online resumes and target positions for succession, and for executives to search for, nominate and evaluate succession candidates.

ï ToGo offline technologyóbetter than other offline products because it allows offline use without locking out simultaneous access to online users.

ï Expanded use of MindSolveís trade drag-and-drop user interface, for maximum efficiency and user adoption. For example, itís now possible for employees to drag and drop goals when aligning or realigning them with top-level objectives.

ï Dynamic Dashboards. MVP dashboards are completely configurable for each MVP user, based on role and responsibilities.

Career and Succession Planning ñ MVPís Career and Succession Planning tools put the power of MVPís extensive performance intelligence database to work, optimizing career planning and succession management in an organization. The system begins by defining critical job competencies for key positions and then matching available, qualified employees, helping employees identify positions to target and executives and managers search for and/or nominate succession candidates. An Employee Career Summary captures key data about each employee, including job history and related performance ratings. MVPís new Career Inventory allows any employee to create and maintain an online resume of past job positions, accomplishments, education, credentials, skills, languages, relocation willingness and more. Career Planning allows employees to view targeted jobs and positions and executives to view nominated successors for identified positions. Succession candidates can be evaluated using dr! ag-and-drop readiness assessments as well as traditional 9-box analysis.

ToGo Technology ñ MVP 5.0 takes MindSolveís ToGo Technology (the marketís first offline performance management technology, released in 2001) one step further. Other systems provide offline capability on a ìcheck outî basis, which can offset the efficiency of allowing offline work for one user by locking out online access to everyone else. MVPís ToGo technology provides both on and offline access, with smartsync capability that scans for discrepancies and allows item-by-item conflict resolution. Offline use is both secure (password-protected encryption) and safe, with back up protection against data loss.

Enhanced Drag & Drop User Interfaces ñ Software users and pundits alike appreciate drag-and-drop interfaces (see Fast Company, June 2004, ìThe Need for More Drag and Dropî). MVP 5.0 delivers even more of the unique drag-and-drop functionality that has been the signature of MindSolve since 1994. Goals can now be dragged and dropped from one category to another, or across hierarchical levels, for quick fine-tuning of the alignment of individual, departmental and organizational objectives. MVP 5.0 also incorporates drag-and-drop ratings adjustments into an enhanced Roundtable Calibration capability. MindSolveís patented drag-and-drop performance rating interface has proven benefits for reducing leniency in performance appraisals. Calibration, a ìreview of performance reviewsî by an executive team, a process designed to adjust for rater bias, can now be done more accurately and more efficiently, using expanded drag-and-drop capability to manage many ratings by many supervis! ors.

Dynamic Dashboards ñ Dashboards are completely configurable, providing all MVP users the real-time summary data most relevant to their positions and responsibilities in an easy to see and understand graphical format.

Additional Improvements ñ MVP 5.0 offers greatly expanded e-mail management options, writing and comment assistant enhancements, new goal management capabilities, improved reporting, and many other speed and use enhancements.

Availability ñ MVP 5.0 is now being rolled out to its first clients, with updates for MindSolveís entire client base scheduled over the next few months. Version 5 is available for all new clients.
