Milkround and The Sunday Times are excited to announce that the winner of their competition to win £5000 towards university fees is Law student, Emma Blake!
Students nationwide were asked to answer the following question in less than 500 words;
“How confident do you feel about your future career and how do you think university is helping you?”
Receiving over 3,000 entries, the competition was judged by our expert panel; Leo Szvio - President of AIESEC, Karen Robinson - Editor of The Sunday Times Good University Guide and Jenni Joplin - General Manager of Milkround, who worked together to decide the lucky student to win the cash.
Our winner, Emma Blake, is currently studying Law at the University of Sheffield, and will be putting the money towards her post-graduate Legal Practice Course, after having difficulty finding a sponsor for her studies. Her dream is to become a lawyer, and this prize will help her on her way to achieving it.

Alexandra Sydney, Head of Marketing at Milkround.com explained: ‘We are so pleased to be able to recognise Emma’s great contribution and support her through her LPC and into her legal career. University fees continue to be a challenge for today’s students and hopefully supporting Emma in this way will allow her to really focus on her future.’
Alastair McCall, Editor of The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide, said: “Money worries at any time can be stressful and distracting – even more so at university so winning this competition will make it easier for Emma to concentrate on her studies.”
Sophie Somervail from Shropshire, also won a £100 voucher to help with her living costs at the University of Leeds, and her article can also be seen on Student View.
