.

Meyler Campbell is delighted to announce the inaugural Psychology For Coaches course, which will take place at Imperial College, London University over four days on the 28th and 29th March and 5th and 6th April, 2006.

Psychology For Coaches has been developed by Meyler Campbell from leading edge thinking, particularly in the field of positive psychology and reflects the pivotal role that psychology plays in the discipline of business coaching.

This four-day course will cover a wide and fascinating range of core and innovative topics in this constantly evolving field, looking at areas such as:

ìBehaviourism: are we trainable rats or innately gifted?î;

ìNew tools from positive psychology: understanding your and your clientsí untapped strengthsî;

ìMotivation: we know what to do, the crux is getting motivated: research in the last five years helpsî;

ìNew techniques in spotting and dealing with depression (20% of workers experience it, coaches should be alert)î; and

ìPsychopaths in the Boardroom: how to spot them, how to deal with them.î

Alex Linley and Anne Scoular of Meyler Campbell will lead the course with guest lectures by distinguished speakers such as Professor Adrian Furnham of University College London and Professor Felicia Huppert of Cambridge University.

Said Anne Scoular, Managing Director of Meyler Campbell:

ìThis practical and inspiring course gives a map of the territory of the psychology relevant to coaching. It takes you in turn through each of the core domains, and introduces you to leading edge thinking that is already transforming coaching, and which we believe will be at the heart of its growth in the next decade. Top speakers, serious learning, great networking and fun!î
