Management buyout at Windsor

.

Healthcare Recruitment and Training Specialists, Windsor Recruitment and Windsor Training, has today announced a Management Buy-Out of the company in a deal designed to enable the business to continue to build on its existing growth and become a major healthcare recruitment and training provider in the UK.

The company will continue to be led by existing Managing Director, Alex OíNeill and as part of the transaction they will be joined internally by Derek Kitchen as their new Finance Director.

Alex Oí Neill now significant shareholder following the Management Buy-Out started his career with Windsor back in April 1998 as a recruitment consultant. His role within the company was to establish and develop a new healthcare division for what was then a purely commercial and industrial temp agency. He got his first temps out in week one (46 hours!) and proceeded to build the business. Within his first year he went on a ëtourí of the country and at the end of year Windsor was operating out of 3 branches these being Birmingham, Brighton and Liverpool. By the end of year 2 they also had branches in Bristol, Leeds, and Coventry. And the rest is history as they say.

As of Dec 2006 Windsor now have branches and training centres in major cities across the UK and with annual sales topping 11 million, an increase of 18% so far this year. We are very committed to furthering the growth of these businesses and plan to add to the existing range of products and services within recruitment, franchising and training said Alex OíNeill.

Trevor Heathfield the Founder of Windsor said, Iím absolutely delighted with the outcome of this deal I could not leave the business in better hands. Trevor will remain a shareholder and very much look forward to working with Alex and Derek in the next phase of Windsorís success story.

The management buy-out comes at a time when Finance Director, Paul Bradford retires. Paul has been with Windsor for the past sixteen years and is now handing over to Derek Kitchen, Operations at Windsor.
Derek Kitchen who has over seventeen years NHS experience, started his career working in finance within the public and private sector before joining the NHS. Having worked at Northern Birmingham Mental Health Trust as Finance Director for six years, Derek then went on to work as Chief Executive for a further three years.

Following his success in his previous position, Derek is delighted in his new role as Finance Director he comments ìI am really excited with the opportunity to contribute to the continued quality and growth of Windsor Recruitment and Windsor Trainingî.
