Magnet, the kitchen giant, has created a dedicated careers website to support its mounting recruitment needs and nationwide expansion.

During the last 12 months, Magnet has recruited more than 700 employees across all areas of its retail and trade businesses, and this growth shows no sign of slowing down. Magnet hopes to employ a further 350 new colleagues this year from branch managers and kitchen designers across its UK branches to trade sales people and warehouse staff.

The site www.magnetcareers.co.uk is managed by Magnet�s recruitment partner ResourceBank Recruitment a provider of outsourced recruitment solutions and was created to increase job applications as well as improve and simplify Magnet�s recruitment process. Within the first month of being live, the site has already received more than 4000 hits.

The new, simple-to-use website provides users with details of current vacancies and is structured to target appropriate job quickly and easily.

Users can apply for jobs online by attaching either a CV or submitting an online application form and there is also a dedicated hotline number (01952 281933) for people who would prefer to apply for a job offline.

Karen Gregory, Magnets HR and Training Director, said: To enable Magnet to maintain its position as the UKs kitchen expert, the business is putting people at the heart of its growth strategy. In the last financial year Magnet has refurbished 39 of its 202 stores nationwide and added 11 new branches, leading to a massive increase in staff.
