ATLANTA ó Lucas Group, provider in professional recruiting, today announced plans for the 2005 DreamBuilders program, a unique summer internship program that matches talented, diverse inner-city high school students with professional opportunities at metro-Atlanta businesses.
This year marks the seventh year of the DreamBuilders program for Lucas Group. Past employers who have participated in the DreamBuilders summer internship program include Cox Communications, Deloitte & Touche, General Electric (GE), BellSouth and The Home Depot. In 2002, Mayor Shirley Franklin proclaimed July 31 ìLucas Group Dayî in honor of the companyís successful community service program.
ìThe DreamBuilders program is about more than just finding teens a summer job,î said Art Lucas, CEO and President of Lucas Group. ìItís about the community reaching out and giving students from all walks of life the guidance and skills needed for successful careers and for employers to come together with the community in a very direct and meaningful way.î

The deadline for candidates to apply is Friday, April 8, and the deadline for employers to participate in the program is Friday, April 22.
