Local Government Lawyers Love Their Jobs

A survey carried out by totallylegal.com has revealed an astoundingly high level of job satisfaction amongst Local Government Lawyers.

The survey was carried out at the annual SLG (Solicitors in Local Government) Weekend School, which is attended every year by Local Government Lawyers throughout the UK. A massive 93% of respondents were pleased that they had become a Local Government Lawyer.

The survey also revealed that Local Government Lawyers were also fairly pleased with the service they received from law firms. 85% thought that law firms understood their requirements either very well or just about.

However, they were less complimentary about changes in Local Government over the last few years. When asked if they had led to better value for money for the tax-payer, 28% believed that changes in local government either probably havenít led to better value for money or were ìjust another bureaucratic nightmareî.

Bernard Howard, Managing Director of www.totallylegal.com commented:

ìThe results of this survey are very interesting. There is a phenomenally high level of job satisfaction amongst local government lawyers, which is good news for all of us - I doubt many other surveys would have such positive feedback!

It is also encouraging that 85% felt that their private practice cousins understood their requirements.

However, the fact that 28% believe that changes in local government havenít led to better value for money for the taxpayer is perhaps less encouraging as a taxpayer!î
