Local classifieds search engine Oodle partners with InfoSpace

Oodle.co.uk , the search engine for local classifieds, today announced that it has launched a partnership with Infospace Europe, one of Europeís leading search providers. The partnership allows Infospace to use Oodleís 3.0 million classified listings, the largest index in the UK, to enhance their search results. Infospace can now display Oodleís classifieds listings on the 10 million search result pages that they serve each month.

Oodle is working with newspapers, search providers, shopping and Internet portals to use its Application Programming Interface (API) to add its classifieds search results onto their respective sites.

When consumers search for classifieds, they want to find what they are looking for as simply and as quickly as possible. By using the API, partners can display classifieds results from Oodleís search index to do this. Publishers can also use the API to enhance their own classifieds listings to give their users the option to see whatís available from other sites.

Content providers in Oodleís index benefit by receiving increased exposure. When a consumer sees results from Oodle on a partner site, the results link directly to the content provider. By broadening the base of our search platform, classifieds content providers in our index can receive even more qualified traffic through Oodle, said Duncan Dunlop, General Manager of Oodle UK.
