Following several major blue-chip placements in the last year, a burgeoning Leeds executive search consultancy is taking its skills worldwide with the launch of an international division.

Hitchenor Wakeford Executive Search has placed the Chief Financial Officer of Umbro International, the Mexican CFO of International Personal Finance Ltd - a FTSE 250 company, along with several other high profile placements.

Co-founder of the company John Wakeford, will head up a multilingual team of four comprising current employee Alistair Campbell, who specialises in the oil and gas sector, Svenja Brandenburg from Germany and Pascal Gala from South Africa.

Wakeford is confident the new team will position Hitchenor Wakeford as an international leader in executive recruitment. He said:

We'll be scouring the world to source candidates for positions in the UK and across the globe. Our skilled and flexible team will be finding and placing people in Europe and the emerging markets in Eastern Europe including Romania, Russia, Poland and the Czech Republic. We will also be building on our experience of placing candidates in Central America and Mexico. We've launched this division by building on our existing relationships with clients in the UK.

I'm confident we've recruited the right people to drive international expansion and help Hitchenor Wakeford achieve ambitious growth plans. We go wherever necessary to source the right recruits for our clients.

Hitchenor Wakeford Executive Search has 25 staff across offices in Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham. The company has recruited executive talent for Asda, International Personal Finance, Umbro, Alfred McAlpine, Phones 4 U, Shop Direct Group, Bradford and Bingley and First Direct amongst many others.
