LA Recruitment Gears up for Further Growth and Forecasts Turnover in Excess of 8million

Four years on from a management buyout, international employment specialist LA Recruitment is consistently exceeding its growth targets, increasing turnover from 2.5million in 2003 to 7.3million in 2006.

The Aberdeen-based business has trebled its employee base since the MBO ñ increasing its personnel numbers to 15 ñ to help it service an increased client portfolio, which is dominated by the energy industry

LA Recruitment has seen significant growth across its core stream of engineering, commercial, marine and technical recruitment due to a more strategic and streamlined approach to its business and the urgent increasing demand for skills in these areas.

Director Mhairi Preston said: ìIn our five year business plan we put together at the time of the MBO we had built in a steady 10% growth, which would have resulted in reaching the 4million mark at the end of the five year period, the highest turnover figure in the history of the company at that time.

ìHowever, having achieved 4.5million in 2005, we exceeded our target for 2006 by 40%, mainly due to a rise in business from the overseas market.î

LA Recruitment has a strong reputation as a pro-active forward thinking organisation which tailors its service to individual clients and applicants. This year, the company anticipates further growth, taking them in excess of the 8million mark. This increased turnover will come from their key UK market as well as clients in Europe, Africa, Australia, the Middle East and Far East.
