.

The Skilled & Trades division of Engineering Recruitment specialistís, Kinetic plc, has announced that one of their contracting Engineerís, Les Cornick has won the R.E.Cís (Recruitment & Employment Confederation) National ëTEC contractor of the yearí award. The award is one of the sector categories included within the Trade Associationís ëOne in a millioní event. This prestigious ceremony is the culmination of National Temporary Workers Week; a series of celebrations recognising the contribution of the U.Kís approximate 1.3 million temporary workers to commerce and the wider economy.

Beating nationwide contenders, Les, from Oldham was nominated by Kineticís Manchester branch. The nomination was based on his dedication to contracting and a passion for Engineering. Following an interview with a panel of judges from leading roles within the Recruitment industry, Les received the accolade due to consistently high levels of service with all assignments. With the Engineering sector continuing to experience declining skills shortages, the judges decided that, through his experience, adaptability and a commitment to being flexible, Les was indeed a true ambassador for Engineers choosing to contract.

John Morgan, a Consultant at Kinetic Skilled & Trades commented on Lesí success:
ìNo matter what assignment Les undertakes, he is always a true asset to our clients. Being a time served Engineer means he can turn his hand to any task, ranging from stripping down machines to undertaking the assembly process from detailed paperwork. As Kinetic always receives excellent feedback about his work, the award could not go to a more deserving Engineer.î

Helen Reynolds, the R.E.Cís Acting Chief Executive Officer said:
ìLes has shown how being flexible and professional in a range of Engineering roles can make a difference to businesses that use his experience to best effect.î

As part of the celebrations, Employment Relations Minister, Pat McFadden presented Les with his award at a champagne reception hosted at the House of Commons. This was followed by Les and his wife being treated to entertainment aboard an evening cruise along the Thames.

Lesí recognition is a testament to him successfully contracting via Kinetic since 1996. Additionally, it illustrates Kineticís expertise in mediating a lasting relationship and skill-set match between Engineering candidates and the labour needs of the U.K Engineering sector.
