Just the Job for Alison

Pleasure Beach, Blackpool, is delighted to announce the appointment of Alison Leaper as its new Group Human Resources Manager.

Alison joins the company from the Principal Hotel chain, formerly part of Le Meridien Worldwide organisation. Alisonís 11-year career with Principal saw her in a number of key HR roles based throughout the UK and included recruitment, training and development of the companyís 2,500 strong workforce.

Alison said ìI am looking forward to using my experience within the hospitality industry to support the enormously successful Big Blue Hotel, to maintain the excellent standards it has already achieved, and to support its expansion plans with the opening of the new Club Wing in Spring 2005.

ìPleasure Beach has 500 permanent employees and over 1,500 seasonal members of staff at the height of the season. Recruitment and retention of quality employees is a key element in providing good customer service and a memorable visitor experience.

ìOne of my first tasks will be the organisation of 2 Recruitment Days, planned for the 3rd and 4th Feb 2005 at Pleasure Beachís Paradise Room. We will be looking to fill over 500 seasonal vacancies and a number of permanent positions throughout other departments within the company.

ìWe want to encourage as many people as possible to attend the recruitment days; from mums looking for a few hours work to fit around school drop off times; to retirees who want to supplement their pensions or students looking for weekend work to fit around study time ñ everyone will be welcome.î
