JobStreet.com launches SMS apply

JobStreet Corporation has launched JobStreet SMS Apply, their latest jobseeker product in their Career Enhancer series

JobStreet Corporation Berhad, a online recruitment company in the region, has launched JobStreet SMS Apply, their latest jobseeker product in their Career Enhancer series.

SMS Apply is a service that enables JobStreet.com members to email their JobStreet resume to any job vacancy’s email address that they see in newspapers, Classifieds or other forms of advertisement media. This allows jobseekers to respond quickly to job vacancies anytime and anywhere by sending an SMS and without needing the Internet.

Albert Wong, VP Technology of JobStreet, says: ìWe are launching this product to meet the demands of our jobseekers. It is a most unique jobseeker product in this region, especially Malaysia. Many jobseekers realise that they may not have immediate access to the Internet but are eager to apply quickly to vacancies that they see in the print media. This service is ground-breaking and we are offering it to our members at an affordable price of 30 sen per SMS. We hope to help jobseekers apply easily for vacancies beyond the realm of the Internet, just like we are doing it online.

Other Career Enhancer jobseeker services offered by JobStreet.com include PriorityApplication and SMS Job Alerts.

The introductory price for each JobStreet SMS Apply is 30 sen per application sent. A similar product has already been introduced to JobStreet.com members in Indonesia and it will be extended eventually to other countries in which JobStreet operates.

JobStreet Corporation Berhad, an MSC company listed in Bursa Malaysia, operates the JobStreet.com online recruitment websites and has regional operations in Malaysia, Singapore, India, the Philippines and Indonesia. The Group currently services over 20,000 corporate clients and over three million jobseekers.
