Finding your ideal job in South Yorkshire will soon be a whole lot easier thanks to JobsDoncaster.co.uk

Finding your ideal job in South Yorkshire will soon be a whole lot easier thanks to JobsDoncaster.co.uk, an innovative web based jobs portal created for Doncaster Council by on-line recruitment experts, Jobsgopublic (JGP).

The portal was launched today by the Mayor of Doncaster, Martin Winter, who said:

ìDoncaster is thriving. It has seen huge investment which means more jobs, and more challenges in recruiting. This website will make it easier for us to recruit people to the jobs we have available and will also make it easier for the people looking for jobsî.

In addition to job adverts the site has many inbuilt help facilities aimed at getting people back into work such as tips on how to fill out application forms, information on benefits and links to other job providers, such as JobcentrePlus.

Richard Tyrie, Co-Founder of JGP said: ìE-recruitment is the future. JobsDoncaster.co.uk will make uninspiring adverts a thing of the past, giving you instead a blank canvas on which to sell the public sector. Talent can be pooled between organisations so that talented but unsuccessful candidates can be picked up within the sector and not lost.

ìThis is a fantastic piece of technology that will greatly benefit the public sector in South Yorkshireî.

The portal is the second of its kind. The first SurreyJobs, also created by JGP has received significant national attention and praise even being cited as an example of best practice in the Governmentís Pay and Workforce Strategy. JGP are now looking to develop similar portals in London, Cornwall, North Yorkshire, Leicestershire and Lancashire.
