Valerie Sorohan, IrishJobs.ie, commented: ìThe buoyancy in jobs posted on IrishJobs.ie shows a healthy level of recruitment activity across industry sectors and the continually increasing confidence of Irish employers in online recruitment.î

She continued: ìThe main issue for the Irish jobs market is the availability of skilled candidates to fill these positions.î

Attributing the growth in some sectors to the change in Irish lifestyles, she said: ìIt is very interesting to note the high growth in numbers of jobs posted for sectors such as Beauty and Leisure which saw a 119% increase and Travel and Tourism which increased by 45%. This may reflect a gradual shift in our spending priorities and a greater focus on fitness and well-being and some pampering to alleviate the stress of a busy schedule!î
