iProfile today announces the appointment of Karl Gregory, Marketing Director, as it continues to aggressively expand its UK presence and replace the traditional CV by offering people an online dynamic profile for professionals.
Gregory brings a wealth of experience in fast-growing internet companies, having previously been head of marketing for Yahoo! Search, UK & Ireland, as well as holding senior marketing roles with TouchLocal, MindShare and AltaVista.
More than 2.3 million people in the UK already have an iProfile, which allows job seekers to easily set up and update their CV online. The iProfile is becoming an industry standard and has been adopted by many of the UK's biggest recruiters, including Hays IT, Reed, Spring and Alexander Mann.
At iProfile, Gregory will focus on increasing the number of iProfiles to 5 million by 2009. This will involve driving high volumes of traffic to the website (www.iprofile.org) and engaging candidates with the concept that iProfile is replacing the traditional CV into a dynamic profile for professionals and career management.
Karl commented: iProfile has already made huge in-roads in the career and CV management space but there is still an enormous potential for business growth. This makes it a very exciting company to be working for as people are changing the way they think about CVs. Candidates are realising that an online, dynamic profile can put them one step ahead when searching for a job, and I'm looking forward to the challenge of maximising this potential for iProfile. It's not hard to then see how the traditional CV can become a thing of the past.
Rick Bacon, Chief Executive, iProfile, added: Karl comes from a hugely successful background, particularly with a number of high-profile online brands, so he brings a wealth of experience to our team. We've seen a 33 per cent rise over the last year in the number of workers who have an iProfile and Karl is instrumental in supporting this momentum and taking iProfile to the next level.
